Meet Joe
Joe Abt RN, BSN, CSPDT, CSPM
A job in healthcare was never a thought in my mind, but that is exactly where I found myself. In need of a job, I stumbled upon an employment ad in the local newspaper for “CNAs wanted, willing to pay for certification”. I was impressed that an organization was willing to invest in their employees and was lucky enough to get selected for the job.
The moment I cared for my first patient, I realized that I was going to have a career in healthcare. I was hooked. I continued my education, worked incredibly hard, soaked up advice from very talented people, and have been fortunate to serve in various roles since.
Having an open mind to new challenges, never backing down from hard work, a desire to learn from others, and not being afraid of making difficult decisions have allowed me to be a well-rounded healthcare leader.
I take the same mindset of investment that the organization had in me at the start of my career with the teams I lead today. Investing the time to build and nurture relationships, listening, being a positive force, and supporting one another leads to a strong team. The end result is a team that provides the best patient experience possible.
